The hiking trails that we normally go on are closed because of the dangerous conditions of the river. The snow is starting to melt off the mountains, and is making the river very high and really rough. We'll have to find somewhere else to hike this weekend.

Memorial Day Random Pictures

Memorial Day weekend was pretty low key for us. Dennis and I both had to work, so we pretty much stayed around Glenwood. The kids aren't out of school until June so it doesn't really feel like summer break yet. The highlight of the weekend was a surfing/kayaking competition at the river! It was very cool seeing surfers in Colorado!! It made me really miss South Padre. The last picture if of our bunney Cosmo. Zack took this picture and was so proud of it!!!

The ENTIRE family at the zoo in Colorado Springs

Mother's Day weekend we went down to Colorado Springs to visit my Mom. On our way back up to Glenwood we all stopped by the zoo one finally time before our season pass expires. This will be the first summer in almost 6 years we do not have a season pass to the zoo!!!

Kayaking Park!

Not even a mile from our house is a new Kayaking Park. The kids love to go and sit and watch the people Kayak. I can't wait until I can try this!!! I have a long, long way to go!!!

Hiking in Glenwood Canyon

We are really loving living in Glenwood. Living here has opened our eyes to how beautiful Colorado really is. I use to think my kids where "city kids", but now I'm not so sure. They are loving living in the mountains, hiking, biking etc... Here are a few pictures from our hike. The picture of the pool is one of the hot springs here in Glenwood. The kids love it!!







I know I'm not in any of the pictures. I refuse to have my picture taken until I meet my weight loss goal. I'm almost there... About 1 more month!!
