What a day, What a day

What a day, what a day. My Mom and I took the kids to school this morning. The first problem we encountered was the road conditions. All the roads had about a 1/2 inch of ice on them. The ice made for some tricky driving. It took us 45 minutes to drive about 3 miles. We were doing great until a car in front of us got stuck driving up a slight hill. Because this car got stuck I had to stop half way up the hill myself. So as you can imagine, I got stuck!! The ice was not letting me go up the hill or anything. So here I am stuck on the road with 3 kids in the backseat, 1 being in his PJ's. The SUV behind me got stuck also, so we had some company : ) Of course the traffic was getting really backed up by then. Finally some police came and started directing traffic. Once the traffic thinned out they came over to the car and pushed us back down the hill. Thank goodness for these police. They were so nice!! They got us unstuck and sent us on our way. Oh, and the kids never made it to school. We shall try again tomorrow.
