What a weekend we had. Dennis' brother Leon, his wife Niki, and their daughter Zoe came up to see us this weekend. We love spending time with the other Cobb Family. I was feeling a bit (OK ALOT) under the weather so I did not go out to dinner or swimming at the hot springs. All the kids love to play with Zoe. Zoe is a super kid! Leon and Dennis are planning a boys outing in a couple of weeks when their Dad flies in. We are all really excited to see Grandpa Cobb!I wish I could have spent more time with Niki, but being so sick there was no way.
I started getting sick on Friday. Throwing up etc... I couldn't keep anything down. I went to the Doctor on Saturday and he gave me some meds that didn't work at all. At this time I'd already thrown up 26 times (yup, been counting). I felt like death. I was adamant not to go to the ER. So, my Dad drove up 4 hours to make sure I went to the ER. And who am I kidding... When I'm this sick I only want my Mom and Dad to take care of me! By this time I didn't have any fight left in me. I was weak, and practically had to be carried in. The nurse could not get the IV in because I was so dehydrated. I think it took 45 minutes to get the IV in. It was horribly painful. I don't know if you have ever had this, but she put the IV in to get blood, couldn't get it, so she wiggled it around for a good 30 minutes. HURT SO BAD! So they loaded me up with fluids, Gave me some great nausea drugs, and we waiting for all my lab work to come back. I was pretty nervous waiting for my labs to come back because I'm due to have the same blood work done through my Cancer Doctor. The labs came back about an hour later. The labs did not show anything of much concern. At this point I was feeling a little better, and I really wanted to go home. They sent me home with 4 nausea pills that cost $100.00 each. A lot of insurance companies don't cover this drug. I know all about this drug because they gave me the same drug when I was going though chemo.
Whew what a weekend!!!! Below are some pictures of the weekend!
