We were finally able to go on our first hike of the year. We always go hiking as a family, but Dennis was at work, and we were really excited to start hiking. I was a little worried about hiking without Dennis, but I thought I would try it. I wasn't afraid of getting lost, I was more afraid of the mountain lions. When we were coming down the mountain, we saw some huge paw prints in the mud. There was no way it was a dog. I told the kids to hurry and get down. Once we were down, we were walking in our neighborhood. My neighbor came up to us and told us there were 2 mountain lions sited about an hour ago. Thankfully, we had our dog with us. I'm not sure our dog would have protected us, I think he would have just tired to play with the lion.
We aren't in the city anymore : )
Anyhow, we still had fun. I don't think I'll go on that trail anymore without Dennis. Can't wait for more hiking!!!

What fun out your backyard, but wow! I'm glad you didn't actually meet any mountain lions face to face! Crazy!
