This weekend we made our way down to Denver for Meghan's last regular season meet. We left on Friday night because of a big snowstorm that was expected. It was snowing when we left Glenwood, but we thought the roads wouldn't be too bad. Wrong! The roads were horrible. We got stuck on Vail Pass (elevation 10,500) for about an hour. There were semi trucks in the ditch, semi trucks pulled over putting chains on etc... It was so stressful. I'm so glad Dennis was there to drive. We finally made it to Denver around 10pm. We stayed with Dennis' brother in Denver that night. It was a lot of fun! Unfortunately, my sister-in-law Niki, and her daughter Zoe were at a retreat so we weren't able to hang out. Saturday we headed down to Longmont. Longmont is about an hour from Denver. We checked into our hotel and started to get Meg ready for her meet. Meg did great at the meet. She received 3 medals. 2nd place (out of 50) on vault, 3rd place (out of 50) on floor, and 4th place in the all around. I think it really helped having this meet in the evening. Most of you know Meghan is not a morning person. When the meet was over we all went back to the hotel. 5 girls were staying in the same hotel, so the girls decided to have a sleep over. It was really fun. I'm still surprised we didn't get kicked out of the hotel. I'm sure you know how loud girls can be :))
A tired Meghan after the meet. I'm so proud of her!

Way to go Meghan! Sounds like a good time. I can't imagine dealing with that much snow already!
