Speaking her mind

Meghan has always been my outgoing child. The child who speaks her mind on almost anything. Well, it turns Meghan and her BFF Nia decided to write a letter to the mayor of Glenwood Springs regarding there hot lunch program. Sopris Elementary is a wonderful school. I can't say enough good things about the school. But, Meg and her friend Nia think the school hot lunch program STINKS. Meghan said it taste more like slop than real food. And to top it off Meghan came home with her milk carton from lunch on Friday that was 3 days expired. I was not happy. Even though it was only 3 days expired, it shouldn't be expired at all. I'm paying almost $20.00 a week for these school lunches and I expect that the food and milk they are served to be in date.

Anyway, We got a letter Friday from Meghan's teacher. Meghan and her friend Nia will be having lunch with the Mayor of Glenwood, the Principal, superintendent, the local newspaper, and the lunch ladies. At this meeting, the girls are supposed to discuss what they think could help the hot lunch program etc.... Meghan is pumped and ready to discuss. I'll let you know how it goes after the meeting!

Meghan would make an awesome attorney some day :)
