What's Happening

I had a good birthday. Hard to believe I'm 32. The kids were off school yesterday, and for my present they were on their BEST behavior. I've never seen them act so well. They even played together without fighting. Now that my kids are older, that hardly ever happens! Enjoy your little ones playing together while it lasts!

My pain is finally under control. It has only taken about a year of trying. I'm seeing a physical therapist (which I doubt is going to help), and I'm on a extended low does of Oxycontin. The extended dose really helps the pain without feeling
" Medicated". A lot of pain meds make you feel "loopy", and thankfully this one doesn't. This is a doozy of a medication, so my pain management/anaesthesiologist is watching me carefully. I'm just thankful to live without pain right now. I know I've said this before, but this isn't only a physical battle, but an emotional one too. Five years later, I'm still trying to deal with it. I know everyone probably gets sick of hearing it, but it's a constant battle in my life.

We are loving the new house. It's smaller than are old house, but we are saving 1k a month! I'll deal with a smaller house for that savings! Zack and Meg are able to walk to school which is nice. I can watch them at the playground from my upstairs window. Jourdan still has to ride the bus, but he's dealing. Jourdan is going to his first school dance tomorrow. I've never let him go in the past because I thought he was too young, but with his begging, I gave in. Sucker, I know.

Zack and I are going to be flying out to visit Ruth in the next couple of months. I'm so excited. It's been way too long since we've been together. It will be nice to get our boys together again.
